Introduction of ACR Rubber

2021.11.08

ACR rubber is a thermoplastic graft polymer obtained by seed emulsion polymerization of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate. It is mainly used as an impact modifier for hard products, which can improve the impact resistance and processing properties of products. ACR impact modifier is a core-shell structured copolymer. Its core is a kind of low-degree cross-linked acrylic rubber polymer, and its shell is a methyl methacrylate graft copolymer. Modifiers of this structure are often cross-linked by adding typical cross-linking monomers, so that the "core" has good elasticity, and the "shell" is a polymer with a higher glass transition temperature, and the particles are easily separated. , It can be more uniformly dispersed into the matrix and can interact with the substrate. Therefore, this type of modifier can not only improve the impact resistance, but also act like a processing aid to promote the gelation and plasticization of the resin.
