PET Modification Research

The modification research of PET is becoming more and more extensive, mainly through chemical modification and physical modification: chemical modification is to change the chemical structure of existing polymer macromolecules through the method of molecular design, so as to achieve the improvement of polymer performance. The effect of chemical modification is durable, but the change in the chemical structure of the polymer will also cause some changes in the higher-order structure of the polymer to a certain extent, resulting in a series of changes in the properties of the polymer. Physical modification is to improve the fiber performance by changing the morphological structure of the polymer without changing the macromolecular structure of the polymer. Blending modification in physical modification is widely used because of its superiority. It not only does not change the macromolecular chain structure of the polymer (the structure and morphology of a single molecule), but it retains the inherent advantages of the original polymer. At the same time, new substances are added to give some new properties by changing the aggregate structure.
