Depend on the degree of polymerization of the main phase polymer, the length of the main chain, the number of branches and the length of the graft chain, the position of the graft chain on the main chain

PTW AX8900 is an ethylene-acrylate-glycidyl methacrylate terpolymer (polymer-type compatibilizer) with high GMAcontent. It shows good heat stability used as a film adhesive, polyester toughening agent and compatibilizer. Graft-type compatibilizer has low GMA content with high activity, normally used as polyester impact modifier and compatibilizer.

PTW AX8900 has the advantage of being a film-bonded hot melt adhesive, especially for products that require transparency. The use of polyester modification has little advantage and affects liquidity. Graft-type compatibilizers have high steric hindrance at the reaction site and high activity, and can be used in polyester modified products to replace high-end products such as polymeric compatibilizers. Future development direction is continuously to improve the grafting rate, the efficiency and distribution of the grafting monomer in the grafting process in order to expand the applications.
