Research on Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate, often abbreviated as PC, is a linear carbonated polyester. As a very representative aviation polymer material, it has very important application value and research significance. From the chemical point of view, PC is resistant to weak acids, weak bases, and neutral oils, but it is not resistant to ultraviolet light and strong bases. In terms of physical properties, PC is almost colorless, transparent, and has good optical properties. The density is about 1.20g/cm3, and the glass transition temperature is about 135°C.

Polycarbonate can be divided into a series of grades according to its functional characteristics, such as general grade, transparent grade, medical and food grade, flame retardant, heat resistance, weather resistance, lubrication, glass fiber reinforcement, inorganic filling, electromagnetic shielding, antistatic and other grades. Compound grade. Each grade can be further modified according to the resin melt index or compounding.
