SEBSis a linear triblock copolymer with polystyrene as the terminal block and ethylene-butene copolymer obtained by hydrogenation of polybutadiene as the middle elastic block. SEBS does not contain unsaturated bonds, so it has good stability and aging resistance. Since SEBS has excellent electrical insulation properties and higher operating temperature, the comprehensive physical properties are better and it is widely used, and application development is continuously carried out.

 

SEBS can blend and modify many plastics, and significantly improve the overall performance of plastics. For example, it can be blended with polypropylene, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, nylon, etc., to obtain a polymer alloy with excellent properties.

 

SEBS has good solubility, can be dissolved in common solvents, can be blended with many polymers, and can be extended with oils commonly used in the rubber industry, such as naphthenic oil or alkane oil. SEBS is suitable for producing hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives with good heat resistance and high temperature resistance. This type of adhesive has good resistance to oxygen and ultraviolet light. There is no peeling phenomenon and no obvious change in viscosity after being placed at 177 degrees for 7 days.

 

SEBS has a series of excellent properties and a wide range of applications. It is a new second-generation thermoplastic rubber product. It has strong market competitive advantages in terms of performance and technology and economy, and is a promising thermoplastic rubber variety.
