The Advantage of Underwater Pelletizing

Underwater pelletizing is a new polymer product processing technology for particle cutting and forming in water. The underwater pelletizing system is mainly used for materials such as elastomer, PP, EVA etc., which cannot be processed by traditional pelletizing equipment. The product is like granular, spherical shape with smooth surface, uniform size. Polyolefin elastomer modifiedmaterial (such as grafting process) produced by strip cutting requires a very short distance between the rotating blades and the fixed blade due to the good toughness and low hardness of the polyolefin elastomer, so the blades will wear down very fast. Cutting in the molten state can perfectly solve this problem, which can give us more options of materials. It also has the advantages of mixing and feeding more balanced in plastic modification.
