Transparent ABS resin is a new ABS resin grade, which not only has the excellent mechanical properties of general ABS resin, but also has the characteristics of good transparency. The size of the rubber particles and the difference in refractive index between the microphases cause most polymers to appear opaque or semi-transparent. If the refractive index between the two phases is the same or similar, the material appears transparent. However, the particle size of rubber particles that is too small will reduce the toughness of the blending system. Therefore, the refractive index of the rubber particles should be adjusted to be as close to the matrix as possible under the premise of ensuring a certain particle size. At this stage, the core-shell structure and the particles of the rubber containment structure are mainly used to solve this problem. That is, during the grafting process, the refractive index of polybutadiene or styrene-butadiene rubber is adjusted by using methyl methacrylate (MMA), styrene (St) and acrylonitrile (AN) to ensure that the synthetic resin has a similar refractive index. , Improve the transparency of the blend.
